Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will support cybersecurity initiatives within the Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office (SISPO). This role ensures effective coordination, documentation, and communication across internal teams, external partners, and statewide stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Track and support progress across cybersecurity projects involving AZSOC, Governance/Risk/Compliance, and Engineering teams
Coordinate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders
Maintain project documentation, workflows, and task trackers
Support grant-related reporting and compliance efforts, including the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP)
Schedule and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder briefings (in-person, hybrid, and virtual)
Monitor deliverables and timelines to support adherence to state and federal requirements
Contribute to project implementation, evaluation, and process improvements
Prepare internal reports and executive briefings, and maintain organized project records
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in project coordination or program support
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines effectively
Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and presentation tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with Information Security terminology and project documentation practices
Experience with cloud-based file sharing (e.g., Google Drive, SharePoint) and conducting online research to support projects.
Understanding of basic project management principles and tools
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience supporting or managing state or federal grant-funded projects
Familiarity with cybersecurity or information technology projects
Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or Lean project methodologies
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, Lucidchart, or similar platforms
