100% Onsite Job Description This role involves supporting budget planning for the Arizona Department of Education (AZED). The Grant Fiscal Specialist will be responsible for working with internal departments and external sub-grantees to provide budget updates, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, and assisting with procurement tasks such as creating purchase orders (POs) and invoices. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large amounts of money, working within a collaborative team environment, and maintaining strong attention to detail in financial reporting. Important Notes Interviews: May be virtual or onsite. Candidate must be available for either. Extension Potential: There is potential for the role to be extended beyond the initial 6-month period. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, or 2+ years of relevant work experience Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel/Spreadsheets Experience managing large budgets (millions of dollars) Experience in grant management and compliance with fund distribution Ability to work with other departments and external sub-grantees for budget updates Experience with procurement tasks, such as creating POs and invoices Location: Local candidates only (must be based in Phoenix, AZ or surrounding areas) Availability: Must be able to attend an in-person interview within one week of posting closure and start within two weeks of receiving an offer.
