The Database Specialist / Data Entry Specialist will support the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Services as an administrative assistant. This role requires specialized administrative duties, including data entry, record management, and administrative support for Bureau staff. The position reports to the Office Chief of the Office of Infectious Disease Surveillance and Epidemiology.
Key Responsibilities:
Timely and accurate entry of data into electronic systems
Quality control of data entry (prevention of duplicates)
Sorting of paper and electronic records
Assisting with obtaining missing information from laboratories
Administrative support to the Bureau following established guidelines
Handling confidential health information in compliance with ADHS confidentiality policies
Working from a private, quiet location where sensitive information cannot be overheard
Equipment Requirements:
Candidate must provide their own computer or laptop; equipment will not be provided
Required Skills
2+ years of experience with data entry
Experience in the healthcare field
Ability to provide own computer/laptop for the role
Preferred Skills
Experience using medical data software (e.g., Medsic, EHARS, Prism)
Experience with medical data entry
Education
Minimum: High School Diploma or higher
