The Project Manager leads cross-functional technical projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope & budget, and meet quality standards. You will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams, ensuring communication, risk management, and execution discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and execute projects across the full project lifecycle (planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and close-out).
Maintain and track project schedules, budgets, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
Communicate regular status updates, milestone progress, and risks to executives and stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal teams (business analysts, developers, QA, security, operations) and external partners/vendors.
Facilitate change control: manage scope changes, resource changes, timeline shifts.
Use PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) as appropriate; lead Scrum ceremonies if using Agile.
Ensure documentation (project plans, charters, status reports, RACI, post-mortems) is maintained.
Mentor or coordinate less-senior project staff if applicable.
Participate in vendor management - monitor deliverables, ensure contract compliance, handle escalations.
Identify process improvement opportunities; contribute to optimizing project delivery methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
5-10+ years of project management experience (depending on seniority), particularly managing technical / software / enterprise systems / cybersecurity or related domain.
Certification preferred (PMP, Agile / Scrum, etc.).
Strong experience with multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile / Scrum / Kanban, or hybrid).
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), ability to present to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and competing priorities.
Experience with PM tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, etc.).
Ability to identify risks early and proactively mitigate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in specific domain (e.g. cybersecurity, SaaS/PAAS, enterprise applications, government / regulated industries).
Lean, Kanban, or continuous improvement mindset.
Experience with vendor negotiations or third-party partnership management.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant advanced certifications.
