Roles and Responsibilities

Software testers are part of the quality assurance and quality control team. They are responsible for designing test scenarios for software usability, running these tests, and preparing reports on the effectiveness and defects to the project management and development teams.

Software Testers Responsibilities:

• Test Case Execution: Execute test cases and test scripts to identify and document software defects.
• Defect Reporting: Accurately report and document defects using designated bug tracking tools, including clear descriptions, steps to reproduce, and relevant system information.
• Regression Testing: Assist in regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved without introducing new problems.
• Exploratory Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues and usability concerns that might not be covered by existing test cases.
• Test Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with software developers, project managers, and other team members to communicate and verify defect fixes.
• Adherence to Standards: Follow established testing methodologies and best practices to maintain consistency and ensure software quality.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and software testing techniques to improve your skills and knowledge.

Skills Preferred

A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Any relevant coursework, certifications, or self-study in software testing. Technical writing experience.

Experience Required

3+ years of experience as a software tester or software quality assurance specialist. Proven aptitude for testing quality software on multiple platforms and knowledge of industry-standard operating procedures and tools.

Experience Preferred

5+ years of QA experience analyzing system requirements, developing test cases, and performing manual and automated application testing. Working with Google Suite and Google Email. Experience working with test automation tools.

Education Required - High School Diploma

Education Preferred - Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or similar.  

Additional Information Phoenix headquarters location. Minimum 2 days a week in the office. In office requirements may change depending on the projects.
