Roles & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, the project manager is responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives on several small to mid-sized projects.
The project manager is responsible for ensuring any outputs produced by the project meet the expected quality and benefit/s to the customer.
The project manager will accomplish this by ensuring that each project has clearly defined requirements and scope, roles and responsibilities and success evaluation criteria.
Additionally, the project manager will be expected to oversee all activities related to the project including planning, project methodology, establishment of internal and external policies and procedures, training, testing, researching and providing the customers with IT solutions, and vendor contracts/procurement.
The project manager is also expected to conduct comprehensive risk and issue management, while advising leadership members on a timely and proactive basis, on any of these items related to successful project delivery.
Skills Required
Understanding and working knowledge of IT elements including networking, telecommunications and IT hardware
Previous experience managing custom software development and COTS implementation projects
Ability to balance project management process with rapid delivery of benefit to the customer
Experience with building and maintaining project schedules and budgets
Strong customer focus and 'customer first' attitude
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Problem solving skills
Skilled in the creation of project related documents, including but not limited to RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, business cases, research findings and detailed statements of work
Demonstrated ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
Demonstrated ability to gather and understand feedback to adjust plans accordingly
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
Experience Required:
3 to 5 years of experience in project coordination and management * General working knowledge of practical aspects of project management and methodologies
Education Required
Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) *
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Scrum and Agile experience"
