Reviews appeals submitted through DDD's OAR, from individuals, families, and other parties when eligibility has been denied by the DDD. Shall participate in and provide subject matter expertise for appeals concerning eligibility determination and redetermination extending to administrative and judicial proceedings. Additionally, may provide technical assistance and training to Division staff as determined by the Division.

Skills Required

Licensed psychologist in Arizona; Must be familiar with assessments for intellectual disability and autism and able to review medical records and evaluations; Must be able to write well and complete reports timely; Able to communicate well in written and spoken form for administrative hearings

Skills Preferred

Familiarity with Google docs and sheets or able to learn quickly; Able to communicate and work well with a team;

Experience Required

Must have 2 years experience in clinical practice as a psychologist or significant experience reviewing clinical documents; In good standing with Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners

Experience Preferred

Prior experience as a medical records review consultant; Experience with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and developmental disabilities

Education Required
