Roles & Responsibilities

The Accounting Specialist 2 temp assignment performs the following:

• Accounting and fiscal tasks for the purpose of receipting and disbursing client funds; organizes, codes, and maintains fiscal data; researches and summarizes specialized or technical financial information.
• Explains and assists in reviewing, calculating, preparing, processing and ensuring the appropriate distribution and disbursement of child support payments and fees.
• Prioritizes and formulates plans for daily and weekly tasks
• Reviews and double checks work accuracy
• Resolves problems and questions related to unit functions and processes
• Makes entries and adjustments to child support debts and agency accounts
• Transfers funds and processes vendor payment requests
• Reviews fiscal, bank, and other related documents and verifies accuracy.
• Review financial requests and audit financial request for payment refunds; release adjustments and pay history corrections/changes for compliance with court orders, federal and state regulations, policy and procedure and functionality.
• Research and analyze case issues/scenarios for accuracy and determine corrective action.
• Ensures proper adjustments/credits are made to the work system.
• This position works with internal/external customers to clarify information and resolve problems.
• Update spreadsheets, logs, and charts.
• Provide customer service to parties related to the case and assist with issue resolution.
• Other tasks/responsibilities as assigned by Leadership.

• Analyzing and auditing financial data and effectively communicate findings to management orally and in writing; Accounts payable, receivable, and account reconciliation;
• Payment processing and disbursement methodology;

• FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE LEVEL 1 REQUIRED.

This position is currently a work from home position with the following requirements to work effectively from home:

• Must already have reliable transportation in the event that on-site is needed
• Must already have computer/laptop with camera. Double monitors preferred.
• Must already have reliable secured high-speed internet
• Must have secured designated workspace free from to minimal distractions
• Must have basic to intermediate computer and computer troubleshooting knowledge
