Position Summary:
The Product Analyst is responsible to
- champion the user experience;
- understand the existing product roadmap, help prioritize technical tasks and bring features to life;
- understand market trends (user trends, future needs, features offered in similar products);
- collaborate with internal and external partners to vet and document new feature requests;
- maintain a working knowledge of the overall status of the program as well as project milestones.
The Product Analyst will also identify highly impactful user features and test theories/insights about the best ways to deliver user services. The Product Analyst will own small-medium initiatives that help operationalize and implement objectives. The Product Analyst will participate in all stages of product discovery, delivery, and assessing outcomes.
The Product Analyst will use a scientific/data driven approach to analyze the user experience and make recommendations for feature enhancements. The Product Analyst will present their opinions and research to internal groups as well as partner agencies. They will present in front of diverse audiences that could include State Agency Directors and other senior leaders. In addition to reporting and ad hoc analytics owned by the Product Analyst, the Product Analyst may be asked, at times, to help draft project reports.

To be successful in this position, the Product Analyst:
- must have very strong verbal and written communication skills and a highly professional demeanor.
- serve as a leader within the program space.
- be very comfortable analyzing data, reviewing published reports, performing internal and external interviews, forming unique opinions, documenting their research and advocating for their ideas.
The Product Analyst should additionally have some professional experience in the product development, software development, or project management space or an educational background in software development. All experience consistent with the position responsibilities should be documented for any candidate for this position.
