Tableau Dashboard Developer
Description:• Designs, prepares, tests, and debugs Tableau dashboards for healthcare applications. – 35%• Meets with users to understand their analytic needs and suggests best ways to visualize the data through mockups and white boarding. - 20% • Designs, prepares, tests, and debugs SSRS reports - 10% • Writes and modifies SQL queries and stored procedures for report result sets. Prepares test data and conducts unit testing to ensure compliance to specifications. - 15%• Collaborates on the Report Team using Agile project management, through daily team standup meetings and bi-weekly sprint planning & review meetings. Uses Visual Studio Team Foundation Server web portal to manage project stories, tasks, and hours. - 10% • Collaborates with the application team developers and QAs on their new and existing reports. Supports the application teams on the functioning of their reports in the DEV, PQA, QA, and UAT environments. Works with the application teams and DBAs on the production release process, including the completion of all required production release documents. - 10%
Skill sets needed:• Tableau (Advanced)• Data Visualization Best Practices (Advanced)• Excellent Communication Skills, ability to meet with users to translate loosely defined analytic needs into visualizations.• SQL Server (Intermediate)• SQL Reporting Services • Visual Studio • TFS/DEVOPS • Agile
MANAGER FEEDABCK: The issue was Tableau skills. We are replacing a Sr. Tableau Developer and need someone who really knows Tableau and has significant experience with it. Moving forward I would say 2 - 3 years of solid Tableau experience and some SQL.
