• Consultant will support the Benefits Services Division with respect to data transfer among state agencies and supporting external vendors.
• Will act as a liaison between internal and external business units, producing reports and analyzing reports from HRIS. Consultant will provide guidance on benefits related issues and processes.
• Will use functional expertise of benefits systems to conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations to management on ways to improve operational processes and maximize efficiencies.
• Consultant will have security level access into HRIS computer systems to make changes for employee eligibility as it pertains to state law, rules, policies and regulations.

• Position requires a sophisticated subject matter expertise in SQL and advanced skills in developing and using spreadsheets and database tables.
• Excellent skills in importing and exporting data into and from HRIS.
• Will have an excellent knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, which includes requirements definition, analysis, design, coding, HRIS testing, and implementation.
• Proficient skills in developing and executing project plans and dependability in meeting assigned project deadlines.
• Knowledge of benefits terminology to include plans, types, deductions, and benefits issues related to dependents and beneficiaries.
• Knowledge of Google Suite applications
