Consultant will support the Benefits Services Division with respect to data transfer among state agencies and supporting external vendors.
Will act as a liaison between internal and external business units, producing reports and analyzing reports from HRIS. Consultant will provide guidance on benefits related issues and processes.
Will use functional expertise of benefits systems to conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations to management on ways to improve operational processes and maximize efficiencies.
Consultant will have security level access into HRIS computer systems to make changes for employee eligibility as it pertains to state law, rules, policies and regulations.
Skills Required
Position requires a sophisticated subject matter expertise in SQL and advanced skills in developing and using spreadsheets and database tables.
Excellent skills in importing and exporting data into and from HRIS.
Will have an excellent knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, which includes requirements definition, analysis, design, coding, HRIS testing, and implementation.
Proficient skills in developing and executing project plans and dependability in meeting assigned project deadlines.
Knowledge of benefits terminology to include plans, types, deductions, and benefits issues related to dependents and beneficiaries.
Knowledge of Google Suite applications
Experience Required
5 years SQL experience 5 years experience in developing spreadsheets and database tables
Education Required
Bachelor's degree relevant to subject matter preferred.
