This role is 100% On-Site and possibility of converting to a FTE after 6-month contract.
Roles & Responsibilities
40 % - Surplus/Wood St. Responsible for receiving “all” surplus items from each of the 10 colleges. Prepares for Public Auction by ensuring the input (inventory) of all asset tagged items into FMS. Stages all items for auction and provides access for public viewing. Reconciles winning bids with items and customer documents. Assists with load out of items. Auctions are held 4-6 times annually.
40% Responsible for shipping and receiving for DSSC. Responsible for items received with a value over $1000 will be assigned an asset tag and recorded into FMS. This also includes district-wide purchases. Responsible for biannual inventory of all DSSC assets. Responsible for the sorting and dissemination of DSSC mail and parcels. Supervises district wide contract mail courier services. Annual special projects include preparing mailers for graduation approx. 7000 – 8000 and the dissemination of approximately 10,000 W2’s for MCCCD employees.
20% Manages print shop and production of all DSSC printing projects and includes black & white and color copies, document scanning, booklets with binders. Print jobs vary in number and complexity.
FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE WOULD BE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED. (TRAINING PROVIDED IF NO EXPERIENCE).
Driving responsibilities - Driving will be between our 2411 W. 14th Street and 4110 E. Wood St. Phoenix, AZ 85040 of which is the MCCCD warehouse. They'd likely come to District, grab a district vehicle and travel to Wood St.
