Job description:
• Communicate clearly with peers as well as management and provide technical leadership to junior systems admins
• Perform hands-on analysis of the production systems, fault resolution, capacity planning and root cause analysis for critical issues
• Analyze and resolve performance issues, capacity issues
• Proactively monitor the systems to ensure high availability services with minimum downtime
• Participate in on-call rotation supporting systems after-hours, weekends and holidays
• Manage and escalate cases to vendors for problem resolution
• Automation mind set with track record of process improvement
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, resource optimization and patching as required • Utilize tools to automate processes and operate production systems
• Act and work both independently and in a team environment
• Performs all other job related duties as requested
• Expert technical leadership in the design, implementation and management of ADOR's Microsoft Windows/VMware based environment
• Strong understanding of data center design and principles
• Ability to plan, scope and estimate work effort to produce high quality deliverables on time/on budget
• Advanced level of AWS infrastructure administration experience a plus
• Experience with VMware virtual networking - NSX-T a plus
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new concepts quickly and efficiently
• Highly solution focused; sense of urgency with a passion for 100% quality
• Highly experienced managing SAN/NAS systems
• Advanced MS powershell or similar scripting experience
• Advanced VMware ESXi hypervisor experience
• Ansible playbook implementation experience a plus
• Expert level understanding of Microsoft active directory principles and design
• Expert level DNS and DHCP configuration/management
