Description

The Child Support Subject Matter Expert may direct and coordinate the efforts of the members of the assigned Project Team. The Child Support Subject Matter Expert will also coordinate the testing efforts with other State agencies and interface partners needed to define the changes to the interactions between the replacement system and these entities and their systems.

Other responsibilities of the Child Support Subject Matter Expert include:

o Attend all the sprint team meetings of the assigned sprint team

o Actively provide inputs and recommendations on the discussion topics

o Participate and assist with all aspects of the design, development. testing and implementation effort, with focus on Child Support Policies.

o Coordinate formal communication to all affected groups

o Review all contractors’ project deliverables thoroughly and feedback comments are documented in the Deliverables Review Report (DRR)

o Assess and notify the supervisor of any risks, issues, and action items related to the assigned team and subject area

o Provide status on the assigned activities

o Maintain a positive relationship with the team and project stakeholders

o Assist the Policy team with respect to Arizona child support replacement system

o Support with the federal certification of the new system

o Ensure that the new system is built in compliance with applicable regulations and policies

Qualifications – The Child Support Subject Matter Expert must have:

  • Experience designing child support business processes and procedures and developing new systems to support the new business processes
  • Strong knowledge on the child support legal processes and requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Reports (e.g. OCSE 34, OCSE 396, OCSE 157)
  • Experience in understanding and assisting with federal audits
  • Experience in communication and coordination of activities with external stakeholders and vendors
  • Detailed knowledge of Title IV, Part D of the Social Security Act
  • Detailed knowledge of the Automated Systems for Child Support Enforcement: A Guide for States 2017
