A Data Governance Advocate makes recommendations about the methods in which the agency obtains, moves, stores, manipulates and analyses data to improve quality and the efficiency of data systems. Supports the collection, management, definition, and analysis of data to improve the quality, reliability, and completeness of agency data. This more reliable data provides agency leadership with valuable information that can improve operations and agency practices. Their main duties include identifying, gathering, analyzing data and making their insights accessible to the agency. This position responsibilities include, but not be limited to:
Understanding data lifecycle (source systems, integration layers, downstream data stores, reporting vehicles, etc.)
Collecting and interpreting data
Facilitating data management policies & procedures
Support the roll out of Data Management strategy including Data Governance
Identify patterns and trends in data sets
Liaison with data governance & data management teams to establish agency data, analytics and reporting needs
Defining new data collection and analysis processes
Experience:
Education: A degree in the following subjects is recommended
