The BA reports to the Senior Manager of Application Development, working with IT and Business Contributors to support Member Services, Pension Administration, Investments and Finance. The BA will develop and analyze information to elicit business needs and document processes. This is a leadership position within an Agile team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Foster PSPRS culture of collaboration & high performance. • Lead business analysis for transformational programs & projects. • Build confidence of peers & clients. Work effectively in teams. Lead by example. • Engage Business, PM, QA, IT & vendors to develop business & technical requirements. • Create project documentation, user stories, workflows, test cases, etc. • Integrate management decisions, policy changes & new legislation into core systems. • Work closely with stakeholders to align plans & designs with organizational & technical goals. • Ensure fit-for-use & fit-for-purpose of proposed solutions, application designs & test plans. • Identify process and system gaps & shortcomings. Develop & execute mitigation plans. • Prepare, actively participate, and lead Agile ceremonies. • Provide occasional project management & support. • Occasionally support RFP development.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must demonstrate satisfactory performance of essential skills. Those listed below are representative, but not comprehensive. • 5 years of Business Analysis or equivalent experience required. • Experience leading & working in Agile or Scrum environments required. • Knowledge of pension benefit administration, and or financial calculations desirable. • Experience developing business workflows, system requirements and user stories required. • PMBOK familiarity & demonstrated Project Management experience preferred. • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to business users essential. • Knowledge and experience in Mathematics & Data Analysis preferred. • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communications essential. • Experience with SharePoint & wiki maintenance desirable. • Experience with Jira or similar Agile tools preferred.
