Roles & Responsibilities

The position provides comprehensive student support for the Maricopa Student Support Center and works collaboratively with a team to provide customer service predominantly through correspondence/communicating via technology tools. The role operates with the highest level of customer service to a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty via email, chat, and text messaging to support enrollment services, financial aid, password reset assistance, and general questions. This position works at the District Office’s Wood Street location. Due to Covid 19, this is currently a remote position but may return in- person on a part-time or full-time basis. 60% - Provides comprehensive correspondence about enrollment services, financial aid, and password reset assistance via email, chat, and text to prospective and current students, staff, and faculty. 20% - Collects, inputs, modifies, and verifies student information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Student Information System (SIS), and other tools. 10% - Assists with training, quality assurance, and/or other projects pertinent to the daily operations of the Maricopa Student Support Center. 10% - Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education Required

High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience.

Experience Preferred

  • Associate's degree or higher in an academic field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience working in a higher education or technical support environment.
  • Experience working in customer service.
  • Experience with texting and instant messaging technologies
  • Experience using a Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Strong written communication skills G. Bilingual (Spanish-English)
  • Experience with Financial Aid, Admissions, or Enrollment in a higher education setting

Additional Information

Special Working Conditions May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time, viewing a computer monitor Monday – Friday, 8 AM-5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs. Work schedule varies; morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required.
